...this last update. Crashes after 1/2 a second on 5s. Once they fix it I will give them a star back. It really is quite excellent.

I got the app to replace my dedicated handheld GPS but was initially dubious. Once I started using it, I realized that it was far superior to it and way easier to use. I quickly sold my handheld GPS. The app works like a charm when out of cell signal range by using the GPS antenna in the phone. When Im deep in a canyon in the middle of nowhere, this app is fast, responsive and reliable. My phone recently updated and when it did, the app would no longer open. I sent a support ticket and expected the worst. I was headed out of town to go hunting and REALLY needed it to work right then. I was pleasantly suprised to get an immediate response that fixed the problem. You cant ask any more from this app. I highly recommend this app to anybody!

I have always loved this app.

Just downloaded some of these maps. I find them interesting in a historical since as some of them are 40 or more years old. But what can you expect for free? I like learning the old place names.

This app must be number one in top chart for backpackers. Very useful, features-rich and high quality. Respect to the developers! And please, make something to use hi-res maps without subscription.

I used this app on the Nantahala section of the AT and Sipsey Forest in Alabama and it performed great, even offline. I had a small hiccup with a map purchase this year and contacted customer service by email. The problem was fixed the next day and they went beyond that and extended my service free of charge. I recommend this app to anyone planning on hitting the trails. This app has earned my trust through performance and customer service.

The UI is horrible and even with low resolution maps, the screen draw is pretty slow. Also the maps are accessible by subscription and I am not spending money to see what happens when the subscription expires. It is not explained well enough.

This app legitimately saved a friend and mys life. We were very lost on a non existent Lincoln National Forest approved trail, and the app guided us back to a real trail. Get the app. Dont ever look back to anything else.

Great app for when you decide to go hiking in unknown areas or to plan your routes. Its so nice to have access to actual topo maps and not just elevation shading.

Really handy for the regular weekend hiker. Keeps me on track when in doubt. UPDATE: Went on a short hike with friends this weekend, somewhere I’d never been before. I wanted to remember the track so I opened up the app on my Watch, hit “Start”. There was no cellular reception so it was a great to come back home later and see the map and GPS track load up on my iPhone. Watch battery life was barely affected from what I could tell. Love it!

This app has it all. Its very customizable and easy to use. You can use your own pictures for tags. Most of all, it works when cell towers are not in range. Accurately. The customer service is nothing short of excellent. If you have a problem, you will get a personal response from the app creator. More than worth the money for the subscription.

My wife is not so good with maps. With this app I am able to draw routes and then she is able to help navigate as we explore the back country in our jeep. Love that I can export data to use with my Garmin GPS and mapping tools.

We use this app weekly for trail rides, hiking trips, and outings to new areas. The support is fabulous, I emailed in a question and the founder of the app replied. Wow

Worthless. No maps for Europe.

It doesnt take addresses and its so blurry you can barely see anything.

This is the real thing. Maps are not not the current USGS maps but still are great for looking at topography.

After using this for a couple of weeks, my formerly trusty Garmin unit has been put away in a drawer for good. Easy to use interface, great map coverage, with absolutely speedy and complete support.

I just downloaded this and spent about 10 minutes checking it out, and Im very impressed. It is beautiful, easy to use, and offers a great service in the free version. Im strongly considering getting the paid version after my experience with it so far. Other topo maps apps Ive tried are not nearly as easy to use or as nice. Loving it!
